because i am a parent i have no child care for the evening and so cannot work the hours requested in the evening. i have worked days for 4 years and now they say i have to be flexible and have told me my new hours is from next week what can i do
You should have received a written statement of your main terms and conditions of employment (T & Cs) 2 months after starting work. Have you got such a thing ? If yes, you need to read it thoroughly to see if it contains any clauses about changing your terms and conditions. A clause stating the employer can change anything at will won’t be valid; it needs to be reasonably specific. If such a clause is there, your employer can require you to work the new hours.
If you’ve no written T & Cs, has such a change ever happened before, to you or others ? It doesn’t sound like it.
If you believe your employer has no such right you will need to object to the proposed change; if you don’t you will eventually be "deemed" to have accepted them.

let you boss know your situation. tell him you will work the new hours, but he will have to give you a raise to pay for child care. if he wont work with you then quit.

you need to look at your contract if you have one,but if they know you have kids and they employed you for days in the first place then i think they are in the wrong.Phone your local citizens advice bureau and they will tell you what they can and can’t do.

Sorry to hear this. but as employment being so high its either you change or you lose your job. some employers are ok but i am thinking you might be the unlucky one.if not try and see if your parents can help out with the child care or a close friend. good luck any way.x

Find child care. Where’s your child’s other parent? Your child’s other parent has to pick up the slack here. Otherwise, you have no job. If you cannot or will not work the hours scheduled, you are out of a job, and that’s that.
